Q. Can I order maple or red oak cases at any time?
We have them available throughout the year.
Q. How to order "Rare Materials" case and when to send "Rare Materials Communication"?
We will inform customers registered for "Rare Materials News" via "twitter", "Facebook", and "Rare Materials News, Advance Notice Issue" by the day before the transmission.

We would like to continue by explaining our case production cycle and timing.
1 Order "Special Order" in board form
If you wish to order from the board condition, you can specify the top board. (It is also possible to specify the side panels, but at a higher cost.)
Alternatively, you can tell us your budget and we can produce it within your budget, leaving the grain of the wood to you.
2 Order through "Rare Materials Communication
The extra case is completed with the material left over from the case made in step "1".
The case is presented in the "Rare Materials News Letter".
(However, in the case of rare woods, we are not always able to finish extra cases due to the small size and thinness of each piece.)
If you do not find the grain you like in the "Rare Timber Report" or if it is sold out, please wait for the next "Rare Timber Report" or you can order in the way described in "1".
Please think of it as repeating "1" and "2" above.
Therefore, if there is no extra material left by the method "1", we will not be able to provide the information in the "Rare Materials Communication".
Q. Can I order a case that is already sold out?
Please do not hesitate to contact us for availability depending on the wood species.
However, no two pieces are exactly alike, as the grain is a natural occurrence. Please consider that every case is unique in the world, and every watch case is unique in the world.
Q. About coloring
Q. Can you do coloring?
Deep blue, deep blue gradation, black color, wine red color, and green metallic color are available for maple wood watch cases.

Q. How many types of leather are available?
We always have about 20 to 30 types of leather available.

Q. Can you reupholster the interior of a case from another company?
We may be able to handle requests from case manufacturers. We do not accept requests from individual users.
Q. Do you have any leather recommendations?？
We especially recommend "Mediterranean pastured lamb leather" and "French pastured lamb leather". The quality of lamb leather from these regions is very high, and Soulbird offers only "special grade" lamb leather. These leathers will give your interior a very beautiful form.
In particular, "French pastured lamb" by "BODIN-JOYEUX" is used by European high-brand manufacturers for haute couture and is the best lamb leather in the world as a surface leather.

Q. What is the size of the cushion holder?
At soulbird, we tailor the finishing to each customer's wrist circumference size. Whether your wrist size is large or small, we can accommodate it smoothly.
Q. Is there a case that can hold the leather belt while it is extended?

Q. Do you have a case for pocket watches?
All our cases are available for pocket watches by changing the design of the lining. We can also make a mold to fit your pocket watch upon request.

Q.About LOCK
Q. Will it be locked?

Q.When should a lock be installed and when should it not be installed?
If you are considering a watch case made of casual wood such as maple or oak
A lock forces the lid closed, which is effective in terms of preventing warping of the wood, and is also an important accent point for watch cases made of wood with little grain characteristics.
For this reason, it is recommended that watch cases made of casual woods such as maple and oak be fitted with locks.
If you are considering a watch case made of a rare or precious wood
The durability of rare and fine lumber can last for hundreds of years, and its rarity increases with time.
Locks are hardware, so their durability is considered to be about 100 years.
This means that the wood will decay faster than its durability.
For this reason, we recommend that watch cases made of rare and precious woods not be fitted with locks.
Q. A case with a lock similar to soulbird's "Italian Lock" is sold at a certain place at a low price. is it the same one?
It is thought to be a copy product.
Q. About cushion holders
Q.I have a small (or large) wrist.
Both small and large wrist circumference customers can be stored safely. Please measure your wrist circumference and let us know.
Q. I have a loose belt on my watch.
The cushion is sized to fit around the wrist + 1cm. The cushion may feel a little loose when the watch is wrapped around the cushion, but it is made to prevent excessive contact between the cushion and the watch belt inside the case and to promote air circulation.
Q. About winding machines
Q. You mention that the winding machine's rotational speed can be adjusted, but up to how many revolutions/minute can it be adjusted?
Can be set from 6 to 18 revolutions per minute. This can be used in accordance with the watch being worn.
Q. I have purchased winding machines (automatic winder) from other stores, but they always break and I have to replace them many times. Is soulbird's machine OK?
Soulbird winding machines (automatic winding machines) can be used for a long time by replacing consumable parts.
Consumable motor gears have an average lifespan of 5 to 8 years. Please allow 1 to 2 days for motor gear replacement and return. Gear motor replacement is ¥14960 per gear including labor.(Tax included)(as of January 2022).

Q. Why does it take so long to deliver?
Each soulbird case is carefully finished by hand to ensure that it will last for many years.
For this reason, we are taking time to complete the project.
Q. About plates
Q. There is a case with a "soulbird" plate and a case without a plate on the website, which one is better?
The plate may stand out depending on the interior finish, so there is no problem without the plate.Even if the watch case does not have a plate, it is easily identifiable as a Soulbard watch.
Q.Can I have a plate made to order?
Yes, it is possible. Plates can be made in gold or silver acrylic.

(This is not a frequently asked question, but we have received a few inquiries about it in the past.)
Leather belts for luxury watches are made of very high quality leather, and we use high quality leather for the finishing.
There is a possibility of color migration when high quality leathers are kept in close contact with each other for a long period of time.
Therefore, a gap of about 0.5 mm is created between the lid and the body on the hinge side to maintain ventilation.
This also reduces mold growth.

It is likely to be a fake.

AC adapters are available in early and late models.
